greta & kajsa's house (2024) is an original abstract painting. it's 50x60 cm, made with acrylic paint, gouache and water-based oil paint on unprimed canvas. framed in an extra thin wooden frame, it appears gentle and soothing, but also fresh and bold. julie was inspired by a swedish children's book while making this work, about seven orphans and a goat who had to leave their house in the northern, most cold and bare part of sweden to go south, going by houses asking for food. the painting resembles the colour of the house the two youngest children came to live in when they were adopted by a couple.
